Copyright Policy

These terms were last updated on September 02, 2025.

At Outin, we respect the intellectual property rights of others and expect our users to do the same. This Copyright Policy explains how we handle claims of copyright infringement on our platform and the steps rights holders can take to request the removal of infringing material.

1. User Responsibility

When you post content to Outin (including videos, images, audio, or other materials), you must ensure that you either:

  • Own the rights to the content, or
  • Have obtained all necessary licenses or permissions to use and share the content.

Uploading copyrighted materials (such as music, photos, or videos) without authorization may violate the rights of others and is strictly prohibited.

2. Notice of Claimed Infringement

If you believe that content available on Outin infringes your copyright, you may submit a written notice to our designated copyright agent at:

Email: [email protected]

Your notice must include the following information:

  1. A description of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed;
  2. A description of the material on Outin that you claim is infringing, including a link or other information to help us locate it;
  3. A statement that you have a good faith belief that the disputed use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law;
  4. A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on their behalf; and
  5. Your full name, mailing address, telephone number, and email address.

Incomplete or invalid notices may not be processed.

3. Our Response

Upon receiving a valid notice, we will:

  • Investigate the claim,
  • Remove or disable access to the allegedly infringing content, and
  • Notify the user who posted the content.

If a user repeatedly infringes the rights of others, their account may be suspended or permanently terminated.

4. Counter-Notice

If you believe your content was removed by mistake or misidentification, you may send us a counter-notice at [email protected].

Your counter-notice must include:

  1. Identification of the material that was removed or disabled, and its location before removal;
  2. A statement, under penalty of perjury, that you have a good faith belief the content was removed or disabled as a result of mistake or misidentification;
  3. Your name, mailing address, telephone number, and email address; and
  4. A statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the courts of Nigeria for resolving the dispute.

If we receive a valid counter-notice, we may restore the content unless the original complainant notifies us that they have filed a legal action seeking to restrict the content.

5. Repeat Infringers

Outin has a policy of suspending or terminating accounts of users who repeatedly infringe on the intellectual property rights of others.
